Aircraft engineer Rob explains why he felt "scared" to tell his employer Airbus about his sexuality.
He told the BBC how he ditched his 'double-life' at work and set up a Pride network to give support to LGBT staff members.
"I was quite scared of telling my employer I was gay, but I realised as the months and years went by that they just weren't talking about it, and they should be talking about it"
Rob was leading a double life, and even set up two facebook accounts.
"The thought of them rejecting me because I was gay was just awful and I was terrified that I'd lose my job. The reason I thought Airbus was disapproving of it was because they were talking about inclusion and diversity with every diversity you can think of except for LGBT, and it gave people like me the impression that that was because they just didn't approve of it"
When he came out in 2016 he felt 'overwhelming support', and to help normalise LGBT he started Airbus' Pride network.
"The reason that Airbus wasn't really doing LGBT stuff beforehand wasn't because they were against it, but because they just didn't really get it or why it needs to be discussed"
