CandidateX: TERMS OF USE for the Talent Intelligent Platform

Please read this carefully and be sure you understand these terms of use (the "ToU") before you accept its provisions.

("CandidateX") is willing to provide you with its software as a service (the "Software") only if you accept all of the provisions of this ToU.

By using the software, you are agreeing to the following provisions.

  1. Subject to the terms and conditions set out herein, CandidateX shall make available to you, the Software. CandidateX shall provide the Software at an Internet address published by CandidateX.
  2. The nature of the Software provided to you will depend on your relationship with CandidateX.
  3. In connection with these ToU and subject to the restrictions set forth herein, CandidateX hereby grants to you, a royalty-free, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-assignable license to use the Software as provided by CandidateX exclusively for your benefit.
  4. You shall register with CandidateX to obtain valid credentials for accessing the Software. The Software may only be accessed by permitted users, using valid credentials registered with CandidateX (User ID and password)
  5. CandidateX's provision of the Software to you is non-exclusive, and nothing in these ToU shall prevent or limit CandidateX from providing Software to other users.
  6. You shall have no right to grant any rights to the Software or any component(s) thereof. You may not resell, rent, license or make available the Software to any third party, or otherwise commercially exploit the Software.
  7. When accessing the Software, you agree that you will:
    • properly identify yourself using user credentials registered with CandidateX;
    • not misrepresent your identity or authorization to act on behalf of others;
    • not use, misuse or otherwise access the Software in any way which may impair the functionality of the Software or impair the ability of other users to use the Software or impair the ability of CandidateX to deliver services to others;
    • not attempt to view, access or copy any material or data other than that to which you have been authorized access;
    • not extract data or store data output by Software solely for display;
    • correctly identify the sender of all electronic transmissions sent through the Software
    • not modify the Software as provided by CandidateX in any way;
    • not use the Software in a manner to transmit, input or store any data that breaches any third party right (including intellectual property rights and privacy rights) or that is objectionable, incorrect or misleading;
    • not upload any Sensitive Personal Identifiable Information including but not limited to Driver's License, Passport, Health Cards, Social Insurance / Security numbers, banking and credit information.
    • not upload any inappropriate or illegal content including but not limited to pornography and/or gambling.
    • not send illicit electronic messages via email or SMS in contravention of local or international SPAM laws.
    • not disassemble, decompile, copy, reverse engineer, translate or make derivative works of any software in the Software and used in the delivery of the Software;
    • use Software for lawful purposes only, and in accordance with any applicable legislation or administrative rule;
  8. You further agree that you will not attempt to compromise the functionality, security or integrity of the Software, or assist others in so doing. You also agree to reasonably assist CandidateX in preventing unauthorized access to its services and the Software.
  9. CandidateX reserves the right in its sole discretion to edit, add to or delete any of the documentation, services, data files or other components of the Software from time to time without prior notice. Furthermore, CandidateX shall have the right at any time and from time to time to modify the Software or components thereof as CandidateX may determine in its sole discretion.
  10. You acknowledge and agree that no product or service of CandidateX other than the Software, provided hereunder, shall be deemed to have been licensed, or provided to you under the ToU.
  11. Except for the rights granted to you hereunder, you shall have no right, title or interest in and to the Software or any component(s) thereof, including, without limitation, the Documentation, or to any of the patents, copyrights, trade secrets, trademarks, mask works, inventions, source code, object code, listings and documentation related thereto, together with all revisions, modifications, alterations, and derivative works thereof in all forms.
  12. You shall not perform, or aid others in performing, penetration tests, DDoS attack test or any kind of security test on the Software.

Use of the platform

Registration and access

  1. You must be 16 years or older and able to form a binding contract with CandidateX to use the Services. If you use the Services on behalf of another person or entity, you must have the authority to accept the Terms on their behalf.
  2. You must provide accurate and complete information to register for an account. You may not make your access credentials or account available to others outside your organisation, and you are responsible for all activities that occur using your credentials.
    You acknowledge and agree that You are solely responsible for the form, content and accuracy of any CV or material contained therein placed by You on the CandidateX web application.


  1. We appreciate feedback, comments, ideas, proposals and suggestions for improvements. If you provide any of these things, we may use it without restriction or compensation to you.
  2. Third Party Services. Any third-party software, services, or other products you use in connection with the Services are subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for third party products
  3. Your data: You will own all rights, title, and interest in Your Data, and You will have sole responsibility for the legality, reliability, integrity, accuracy and quality of Your Data. We will only use your personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy and Cookies policy

Prohibited Uses

  1. You may use the web application only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms of use. You agree not to use the web application:
    • In any way that violates any applicable federal, state, local, or international law or regulation.
    • To impersonate or attempt to impersonate CandidateX, a CandidateX employee, or any other person or entity
    • To reverse assemble, reverse compile, decompile, translate, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code or underlying components of models, algorithms, and systems of the Services
    • Not access, store, distribute or transmit any Virus, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material that is malicious or technologically harmful or Unlawful Material when uploading material.
    • Aggregate, copy or duplicate in any manner any of the CandidateX Content or information available from any CandidateX media sites, including expired job postings, other than as permitted by these Terms
    • Frame or link to any CandidateX Content or information available from any CandidateX Site, unless permitted by these Term
    • Harass, incite harassment, or advocate harassment of any group, company, or individual

Intellectual property rights:

  1. The content and information on the web application, as well as the software used to operate the web application, are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not use any content or information on the web application for any commercial purpose without express written consent from CandidateX.

Terms of Service for Job Seekers

General terms:

  1. By using our job board, you agree to our terms and conditions outlined in this document.
  2. Keep in mind that the job listings on our job board are posted by third-party employers and we can't guarantee the accuracy or completeness of the job listings. As such all jobs listed should be considered as job advertising and not job offers.
  3. We don't endorse any employer or job listing, so use your own judgment when applying for a job.
  4. If you use our job board and something goes wrong, we're not responsible for any damages or issues that may arise.
  5. We reserve the right to remove any job listing or user from our job board at any time, for any reason, without notice.
  6. When you create an account, you can opt into email notifications about new job listings that match your job criteria. Opting in to these notifications is your choice completely.
  7. You own your account information and password. Please always keep them confidential and never share them. You are responsible for all activity on your account.
  8. Make sure your CV/resume and any other information you post on our job board is accurate and up to date.
  9. To remove personal information which may cause for bias in the application process, we use a 3rd partner technology for CV / resume anonymisation. Application Programming Interfaces (API) is employed to use their technology.
  10. You have the choice to submit your application in both an anonymised / redacted and non-redacted form.
  11. By using our job board, you're agreeing to these terms and conditions, and we may update them at any time without notice.

Job listings:

  1. CandidateX may make available Job Ads advertising employment opportunities and other job-related content, including links to third-party websites (“Job Listings” or “Job Ads”), through CandidateX’s sites.
  2. Searching for Job Ads on CandidateX is free for Job Seekers. If you leave the CandidateX Site and choose to enter a third-party website, you accept any terms and conditions imposed by that third-party
  3.  CandidateX will endeavour to verify Job Ads and companies must adhere to the agreed terms of use, but CandidateX has no obligation to screen any Job Ads, or to include any Job Ads, in its search results or other listings, and may exclude or remove any Job Ads from the Site or your search result without any obligation to provide reasoning for removal or exclusion.
  4. You understand and agree that CandidateX has no obligation to present you with any or all Job Ads. We cannot confirm the accuracy or completeness of any Job Ad or other information submitted by any Employer or other user, including the identity of such Employer or other user.
    CandidateX assumes no responsibility, and disclaims all liability for the content, accuracy, completeness, legality, reliability, or availability of any Job Ads, or other information submitted by any Employer or other user.
  5. CandidateX may provide independent functionality to assist you. For example, CandidateX may provide search options to help you narrow down Job Ads search results by job title/location categories and such categories are created independently and entirely by CandidateX, and may not directly or accurately reflect the content of the Job Ads.
  6. CandidateX may reformat Job Listings so that you may read them more clearly within mobile.
  7. CandidateX may also promote Job Ads by select Employers on certain pages, or websites dedicated to a specific diversity, equity and inclusion topics, such as inclusive hiring, apprentice campaigns etc.
  8. The placement of a Job Ad on a dedicated page or website is not a representation regarding the nature of the role for legal purposes (for example gig economy postings are not necessarily limited to contractor status jobs and may also include engagements for employment relationships) or a representation regarding the attributes of an Employer.
  9. CandidateX does not guarantee that applying to jobs through a dedicated page on our platform or our website will lead to a better job application experience, a job interview, or a job offer. The dedicated pages do not contain an exhaustive list of Job Ads, and no inferences can be drawn with respect to Job Ads or Employers that are not displayed on dedicated pages.
